Ms. Doubtfire Musical at the Fabulous Fox: Jan. 1-7 at The Fabulous Fox Theater
Everyone’s favorite Scottish nanny is headed to St. Louis! Rob McClure will reprise his Tony-nominated Broadway performance on tour alongside co-star (and real wife!) Maggie Lakis in this internationally acclaimed hit musical critics call “wonderful, heart-warming, and laugh-out-loud funny” (Manchester Evening News) and “a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers” (The Hollywood Reporter).

To Kill A Mockingbird the play: Jan. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Stifel Theater
All rise for Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork. The New York Times Critic’s Pick To Kill A Mockingbird is “the most successful American play in Broadway history” (60 Minutes). Rolling Stone gives it 5 stars, calling it “an emotionally shattering landmark production of an American classic,” and New York Magazine calls it “a real phenomenon.
Hold on! World Premiere – The Black Prep: Jan. 10-28 at Washington University
Hold On!, the inspiration behind the 2014 award-winning feature film Selma, explores the conflict between two extraordinary men: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Lyndon B. Johnson. Both brilliant leaders, their personal battle – like the battle on the streets of Selma – is ultimately decided by King’s greater moral courage.
Porgy and Bess: Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. at Touhill Performing Arts Center
The SLSO and Jazz St. Louis come together for a very special festival. Leonard Slatkin explores the ways jazz has enriched orchestral music. Each program ends with a work by George Gershwin, here suite from the opera Porgy and Bess.
John Mulaney: Jan. 12 and 13, at The Fabulous Fox Theater
John Mulaney is a two-time Emmy and WGA award-winning writer, actor, and comedian.
Mulaney can be seen in his latest Netflix stand-up special, BABY J. Released in April 2023, Mulaney converts his turmoil into comedic brilliance, which earned him 2023 Emmy nominations in Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special.
Jo Koy: World Tour: Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. at the Stifel Theater
Coming off of the highly anticipated Universal Picture film, Easter Sunday and his recent Netflix special, Jo Koy: Live From The Los Angeles Forum, Comedian Jo Koy brings his Jo Koy World Tour to Stifel Theatre on January 12! This show is for ages 12+.
MADCO’s Dare To Dance Festival: Jan. 19 and 20 at Lindenwood’s J. Scheidegger Center For The Arts
The Modern American Dance Company (MADCO) is delighted to present the return of Dare to Dance, a festival featuring new works by talented choreographers from across the country. Join us each evening for a new program featuring highly vetted choreographers who will dance alongside MADCO, presenting their most influential works.
Jagged Little Pill at the fabulous fox: Jan. 19 to 21 at The Fabulous Fox Theater
Joy, love, heartache, strength, wisdom, catharsis, LIFE — everything we’ve been waiting to see in a Broadway show — is here in the exhilarating, fearless new musical based on Alanis Morissette’s world-changing music.
The Loop Ice Festival: Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Delmar loop
The Loop Ice Carnival will celebrate the season with live ice-carving demonstrations, astounding ice sculptures, impressive fire performers, and festive stilt walkers this year. You can also join the playful scavenger hunt, roast marshmallows for s’mores, and have your face painted.
Funny Girl: Jan. 23 to Feb. 4 at The Fabulous Fox Theater
The sensational Broadway revival dazzles with celebrated classic songs, including “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star,” and “People.” This bittersweet comedy is the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage.
Winter Dance Concert: Jan. 25-27 at 7:30 p.m. at Lindenwood’s J. Scheidegger Center For The Arts
The Lindenwood University Dance Program’s 2024 Winter Dance Concert will feature original works by sophom*ore and junior Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates with specializations in ballet, contemporary, and jazz dance.
Fete De Glace Ice Carving Competition: Jan. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., N. Main Street
This ice festival is the perfect family activity. Ice carvers fill two blocks of North Main Street in St. Charles, MO. You can watch carvers bring the ephemeral art of ice carving to life. There are outdoor fire pits, restaurants serving breakfast or lunch and shops to wander in to help you stay warm. Plan to stay for a few hours so you can watch the sculptures develop from a block of ice.
