A Little About Egg Nog

Egg nog used to be considered a drink of the aristocracy. After all, it was only the rich who could afford the milk and eggs that it took to make it and then “frivolously” use it in a simple drink.

Although commonly an alcoholic drink, egg nog is also frequently enjoyed as a non-alcoholic drink as well.

Add Some Christmas Cheer

Rather than scooping this Christmas ice cream into regular bowls, you can serve this dessert in your favorite festive glasses, mugs, or bowls!

Add some whip cream on top.

Serving Tip

Here’s a super fun idea to serve this ice cream. This is what we did.

Place one scoop of ice cream on a festive plate.

Then, immediately, while the ice cream is still hard, use a cookie stamp to stamp an impression in the ice cream.

Tips:

You must stamp the ice cream scoop quickly.

The ice cream must be frozen hard. You can’t use ice cream that has come straight out of the ice cream maker. It will be too soft. Allow the ice cream to freeze completely in the freezer before trying to stamp.

If the ice cream sticks to the stamp, try dusting the stamp with icing sugar. This will keep the ice cream from sticking to the stamp because the icing sugar will more readily fall off the stamp.
